The Wasp is part of the Mechanicals line in the Hexbug collection of toys. This package was a new packaged that was different than any of the Mechanicals to date. This package tilted the product in a way that showcased the top of the product from face view, showing off the sleekness and compact body. This was to catch the attention of the consumer shopping retailer shelves.

Real Bugs, much like the wasp required attention to the product and how it sit on the shelves as well as in the blister. By working along side engineers and 3D designers, the blister and PDQ were designed to house the bugs without harming them, and prevent damage from any mishandling.
